AX-2 automatic glue spraying. The AX-2 gluing machine has been studied and designed to deliver glue by spraying, with the aim to minimise glue consumption, reduce cycle times and manpower. With the AX-2 machine, Aper deems it has attained its goal: the AX-2 gluing machine integrates all the basic phases of the gluing process, including the coupling and the pressing, in a single automated solution. 

The AX-2 automatic machine for spray gluing, with the needle gripper designed by APER, is able to couple multi-layer products, deliver the adhesive where it is necessary and press the finished product. The AX-2 machine can be fitted with one or more spray nozzles for single-component water-base glues, bi-component water-base glues, solvent glues or other types.

The number of glue delivery nozzles can be customised and depends on the type of process the machine is to perform. The AX-2 gluing machine is managed by numeric control and consists of three conveyor belts, one for loading, one in stick-proof material for processing and an optional belt for unloading, as well as the cabin where the gluing, coupling and pressing operations take place.

The paths of the glue from the nozzles can be inserted either by recipe directly through dxf file, or imported automatically according to the automatic detection of the dimensions of the part to be glued. According to the type of glue used, the AX-2 gluing machine may or may not be pre-set for a fumes extraction system.
